Rowmark, LLC is now stocking six ADA Alternative colors in 1/4 inch thickness. ADA Alternative features a matte finish designed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Federal regulations. The sheet is engineered to be Braille receptive, laser and rotary engravable, and routable. It’s ideal for both ADA and non-ADA signage projects that require a rigid substrate or backer panel.
The request for 1/4 inch thick ADA-compliant materials has increased due to California’s Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 24, which requires that restroom signage be identified with an equilateral triangle or circle that is ¼ inch (6.4 mm) thick. Graphic designers and architects have also requested sign-making materials in ¼ inch thickness for other non-ADA applications.
