The following
are some examples of how Rowmark materials
can be laser engraved, cut and combined to create effective and
interesting signage.
These related applications were all done using Teal and White in
our Ultra-Matte Reverse Engravable and ADA Alternative product lines. They were
offset by LaserMax European Gold/Black and FlexiBrass Brushed
Aluminum/Black and
Brushed Gold/Black.
This quotation and translation taken from a classic Chinese scroll
painting demonstrates how photo-lasering onto LaserMark can work
for reproducing artwork as well as standard photos. The vertical
stripes are made from Satins Beige/White, the horizontals are Satins
Burgundy/White, and the large Chinese characters and border are
FlexiBrass Brushed
Gold/Black.
The photo of
Winston Churchill above was lasered with Black/White LaserMark and quotation
was done with White/Red LaserMark. In the background of
the white is the faint shadow of soldiers in silhouette, created
by photo lasering the silhouette as a light shade of gray. The three
content panels are raised off the Clear/Black Slickers background/border.
The portrait in this display is an example of how illustrations
can be incorporated into a layout. This computer generated drawing
was engraved with LaserMark White/Black. The word "Albrecht" was
reverse engraved into ColorCast Acrylics Gold. The headline
letters were cut from Satin Burgundy/Black and the text panel
above it was engraved on LaserMark Blue/White. The gold panel was engraved
on LaserMax Brushed Gold/Black and the entire piece was mounted
onto ADA Alternative Black, leaving a 1/2" margin all around.
This example
of inset construction was made by cutting the same design into ADA
Alternative White, Red, and China Blue. The pieces were then
mounted to Ultra-Matte Reverse-Engravable Clear with the design lightly cut
into the surface and covered with double stick tape. The pieces
were then placed according to color and the finished product was mounted to
Standard Metals
European Gold/Black.
The fork in this display was engraved and cut from LaserMax Brushed
Gold/Black. The vertical panels are all strips of Ultra-Matte
Reverse (Black and Red) and the text panel is FlexiColor White/Black. The headline
panel is FlexiBrass Matte Black/Brass and the backer is made from
LaserMax European Gold/Black.
This piece
also demonstrates the use illustrations in a
design. This image was also computer
generated, but this time it was photo-laser engraved into LaserMark White/Black . The text and masthead were done on LaserMark Grey/White
and custom-made LaserMax Brushed Gold/ White, respectively, and mounted with
the illustration to Ultra-Matte Reverse-Engravable Matte/Parchment
. The bottom panel was reverse engraved on Ultra-Matte
Reverse-Engravable Matte/China Blue then backfilled with two paint colors.
The above illustration was engraved onto
LaserMark White/Black and mounted,
along with the LaserMax European Gold/Black text panel, onto the
LaserMax Brushed Gold/Black headline panel. This unit was mounted
onto an ADA Alternative Blue backer, with inset stars cut from
FlexiBrass Brushed Gold/Black. The whole was mounted onto Outdoor Weatherable
Metals European Gold/Black.
The above photo of Rossini was photo laser engraved onto
LaserMark Black/White. The text panel was fabricated using LaserMark White/Black,
and the masthead panel was engraved using LaserMax Brushed Gold/Black. These were mounted to
panels of Ultra-Matte Reverse-Engravable Matte/Burgundy and
Matte/Ivory. The panels were cut
out, butted, reverse engraved and back-filled with orange/red
paint. The completed piece was mounted to ADA Alternative Black with
margins all around.
